The cosmopolitan affirming community is a faith community in Kenya that provides a safe an
affirming space for the wholesome flourishing of all children of God without discrimination of any kind.
Justice is therefore not just a principle in our community. It is our identity, it is what we stand for,
and what we want to see in the world.
This Sunday our hearts are heavy with grief for the countless women and girls whose lives have been
cut short by senseless violence. This is not just a statistic—it’s a national crisis, and it demands our
voice and our action.
As a faith community, we believe that each person is created in the image of God, precious and
deserving of dignity. When we remain silent about the violence against our sisters, wives, daughters,
and mothers, we are failing in our duty as followers of Christ to protect and honor life. Today, we
must all raise our voices to say NO MORE.
We are calling on our leaders, our justice system, and our communities to take urgent action. This isn’t
just about laws—it’s about changing hearts and minds. We must educate our sons, support our
daughters, and build a Kenya where all women in their diversity can live in safety and peace.
Let us continue to pray, but let us also be the answer to those prayers. Stand up, speak out, and
together, let’s end femicide in Kenya NOW!!
